So, I've been thinking a lot about dishes. I have always hated doing them and once when I was working at MaxMara I was talking to my manager and she was saying that she really enjoyed doing dishes. So I asked, "What do you like about doing dishes?" --trying to see it from a different perspective in order to change mine. She said, "I don't know, I guess I just like playing in water." Hmm, that was interesting...so I thought about that the next time I was doing dishes and nope. No difference.
Then I was reading somewhere recently about what to do when you feel like eating but are not hungry - and the person wrote to do some mindless cleaning like dishes or laundry or whatever because it keeps your hands busy and then you forget about the food (hopefully!). Well, I never thought about dishes being mindless before - while I was doing them I would always just try to hurry hurry hurry and get them done as fast as possible which would lead me to feel anxious and stressed out. Well today I was wondering where I should start with house cleaning--or if I even wanted to start ;) and decided that until I figured out what I was going to do I would do some mindless dishes and Voila! It worked! My dishes were done and it wasn't that hard at all~and in fact...it was quite enjoyable! Yay! I'm hoping that this mindset is one that stays!

I wouldn't have guessed that either. I'll have to try it. let me know if it keeps working
Good Luck with that now only if you can convince Amber of this secret.
