Life Update:

Brandon and I just got back from a family reunion where we celebrated my Grandpa Seymour's 85th birthday. He said the key to living so long is exercising regularly and eating a piece of chocolate every day. These pictures were taken while we were there.

We wanted to give you a life update on what is going on with us lately.

BRANDON:
Well, Brandon started school last month and LOVES his classes, which is wonderful. He is learning so much and very fast. He at first couldn't get in to the 3D animation class that he needed because it was full and was put in the 2D animation class. Well, the first day of that class he went and all throughout class he was wondering if it was a joke. The teacher wouldn't even let them use the computer at all and Brandon felt it was a total waste of money. Right after class he happened to walk by the counselor's office who happened to be there so Brandon talked to him and the counselor looked one last time at the 3D animation class and there just happened to be an opening! So, Brandon got in and the first class happened to start in 20mins - so he went to class and is SO glad he got in because it is exactly what he needed to learn to be able to do his demo reel in September.

He also found out when tutoring is available at the school and that the library has the exact DVD tutorials available for check out that he was thinking of buying to learn the program Maya better.

He's been going to school 2x a week and working on homework about 10 hours a day the other days of the week. Very busy, but very rewarding and he is very pleased with this school and his teachers.

Here is a picture of him where he is found
most of the day (on the computer)

CORINNE:
I have been working temp jobs here because I couldn't get myself to start my career while knowing I'm pregnant. I just felt like if I jumped into a job and had to leave in 4 months I would feel bad and be putting the company out - but ANYWAY I have been very successful in finding temp jobs and am currently working at Etude Wines at a job that started out just being a 2 week assignment but is now going to be another few months because the receptionist happens to be retiring in a week, and I really like it there and they are very happy with me. So, I feel very blessed. I'm working in their office with really wonderful people and it's great.

Here's a picture of me right now on the computer
doing our blog (thanks Robert for taking the pic)

BABY:
Our baby is moving around a lot now... I can feel him kicking and stuff almost every day. I can feel it - but Brandon hasn't been able to yet. The baby doesn't like it when I lay on my stomach (he starts kicking alot cuz he's squished) - I found that out last night when I was laying on Jenny's bed talking with her. I love the name Lincoln - we can call him Link for short - but Brandon is still getting used to the idea. If it were left up to him our baby would be named Octavian (Just kidding - Brandon doesn't have any baby names he loves and he just picked this name out of thin air one day).
Here's me and the baby ( I know this is not the best
tummy shot as it's so dark in the background
and my shirt is black, but oh well)

OTHER BIG NEWS

My father got a promotion as the General Manager over all of the fiberglass reinforcement plants in Mexico and Central America for the company Owen's Corning, so my parents and my sister Jenny are going to be moving for 3 years to Puebla, Mexico on Sunday 8/10/08! My parents are keeping this house and Brandon and I are going to be living in it with my brother Robert and hopefully my cousin Rebecca and her family will be able to move in as well if her husband, Walter, can get a transfer here with his work.
Here is a picture of Rebecca's family: top Walter, Mariah (baby), Rebecca,
and bottom Karina and Saila.

We feel very blessed to be able to stay in this beautiful house while Brandon's in school, and we feel glad that we can be keeping it up for them while they are gone, but we feel very sad that they are leaving! :( I feel like just when we got here they move out! What's up with that!?!
